HCL launched range of tablets in the ME series including the ME U2, ME U1 and the ME Y3. Here we have a hands-on photos of the ME U2 tablet. The ME U2 has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU. The ME U2 is the successor of the ME U1 that was launched launched last year.
There is a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera at the top.
It has 4GB of internal memory. There is a micro SD card slot at the back to expand the memory up to 32GB. There is a power button and volume rockers on the sides. It has 1 GB DDR3 RAM and has Full HD 1080p video playback.
There is a large ME branding and HCL logo at the back.
The tablet comes with 3G support via USB dongle, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and mini HDMI. It packs a 3100 mAh battery. The HCL ME U2 is priced at Rs. 5,999, which makes it one of the cheapest android tablets in the market.
