Acer unveils Liquid Z2 and Liquid E1 smartphones with Android 4.1


Acer has unveiled 2 new smartphones Liquid Z2 and Liquid E1 for the European markets. The Liquid E1 was formally announced last month, now the company has announced it for the European markets. The Liquid Z2 has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a single-core 1GHz processor and comes with optional dual SIM support.

The Liquid E1 has a 4.5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, has popup Float Caller notification and comes with DTS digital audio support for enhanced audio output.

No details about the pricing or the availability for these handsets yet, but Acer has announced that both the Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2 would be available first in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Ukraine followed by Russia, UK and Italy. Acer would show off both these Android smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona next week.
