Huawei Ascend P2 with 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 4G LTE announced

Huawei has finally announced the Ascend P2, successor of the Ascend P1 at the MWC 2013. It features a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display (rather than the rumored 1080p display like the Ascend D2) with in-cell touch technology and a 2nd gen corning gorilla glass protection. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI on top.  It comes with a 13 MP auto focus camera at the back and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It is just 8.4 mm thick . Huawei is calling it the world’s fastest smartphone since it supports LTE Cat 4 that would offer speeds up to 150Mbps.

The display has magic touch feature that makes the screen responsive even while wearing gloves. It has a 2420 mAh battery with Huawei’s Quick Power Control (QPC) and Automated Discontinuous Reception (ADRX) power-saving technologies that consumes 30 percent less battery. It takes 25 percent less time to charge compared to other smartphones.
