LG rolls out Android 4.1 update for Optimus Vu 2 in Korea

LG has started rolling out Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Optimus Vu 2 in Korea. The LG Optimus Vu 2 was launched in Korea back in September with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). LG confirmed Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for range of high-end devices including, Optimus LTE 2, Optimus G, Optimus Vu and Optimus Vu 2 last year.

The Optimus G and Optimus LTE 2 got the Jelly Bean update last month. Even the Optimus G that went on sale in India last week comes with Android 4.1 out of the box. LG has also unveiled their latest Optimus L Series II and Optimus F series smartphones with Android 4.1 at MWC 2013. The LG Optimus Vu and  Optimus 4X HD was launched in India with Android 4.0 last year, wonder when it would get the Jelly Bean update.

The Jelly Bean update for the device would bring new features including, Q Slide feature that would offer spit-screen view for multitasking, better browser, Google Now and several UI enhancements.

LG Optimus Vu, Optimus Tag and Optimus LTE would get the Android 4.1 update in Korea followed by the Optimus Vu 2 update that would first be available for Korean operators SKT and KT. Optimus G users with LGU + would get it in March.
