Lava Mobiles has announced that it would launch their first tablet with 3G and Voice calling support soon. Lava launched the E-Tab XTRON, the company’s first Android tablet running Android 4.1 last month, but it lacked a SIM card slot and voice calling capabilities. The upcoming E-Tab would come with both these features, but it would run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) instead of Jelly Bean. It would come with a 2MP rear camera, apart from the 0.3MP front-facing camera.
Other features of the upcoming E-Tab include
- 7.0-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display
- 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS
- 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera
- 3G and voice calling via SIM card slot, WiFi 802.11 b/g, micro USB port
- 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with microSD
- 3000 mAh battery
Lava did not reveal the price of the tablet yet, or when it would be available. Hope we can expect it later this month or early next month.
