Sony Xperia E dual Unboxing

From Sony’s new crop of Xperia, here’s Xperia E dual. Available in Stores and online at Rs. 10,990. The Xperia E dual would replace the Xperia tipo dual that we reviewed last year. This has a larger 3.5 inch display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor and is also upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean from the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Xperia E dual, as the name suggests, is a dual SIM phone.

Features of the phone are mentioned at the back of the box. It has xLOUD audio, WiFi and DLNA support.

Sony has again pitched its walkman series features to win attention of buyers.

Buyers of the first lot of phones available in stores will get a free Sony Headset MDR-ZX100A worth Rs. 1,490.

Slip headsets come free with both Xperia E and E dual. The Xperia E dual comes in Gold and Black. However the free headsets come in only white colour.

The Xperia E dual comes in a small box, with minimalistic packaging.

A bunch of basic accessories in the phone wrapped in recycled plastic. The box contents include a 1500 mAh battery, a micro USB cable, a 3-pin charger, standard headset and booklets such as user manual, information guide and a warranty card.

The Xperia E dual handset is a medium sized handset with a Full touch screen measuring 3.5 inches with a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels. There are 3 capacitive touch buttons for back, home and multi-tasking, below the display.

Its Back is made of plastic and has a textured finish, for better grip.

Sides show the signature Sony power button, and volume button.

micro USB slot sits on the opposite side.

Sony has ensured that its handsets do not miss out on the camera button, that several users still find necessary on a touch phone.

A very basic 3.2 MP camera without flash. There is a 3.5 mm audio jack on the top of the phone.

The 1500 mAh battery offers up to 6 hours of talk time.

The dual SIM slots sit just above the battery, accompanied by a memory card slot. Xperia E dual already has a 4 GB in-built memory. It comes with 512 MB of RAM.

It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1.

The Xperia E dual supports 3G but does not come with a front-facing camera. It has metallic spines with an overall good hardware. We review the device soon, in the mean time check out the entire set of unboxing images below.
