Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy Tab 2 310 (Tab 2 7.0) in India. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 got the Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update in India back in December 2012 that brought new UI, Google Now, Pop-up Play, Pause function in the video camera, blocking mode and more.
The Android 4.1.2 update for the Tab 2 310 brings new features including All Share Play that lets you share the content with other smart devices easily, Smart Stay, Group Play and more. Still there is no multi-window / multiscreen feature even in this update.
The Galaxy Tab 2 310 Android 4.1.2 update would be available OTA (Over the Air) and via Samsung Kies. You can check for the update manually from the Settings, About, Software update. We didn’t get update over-the-air since it would be rolled out in batches, but we updated our device through Samsung Kies successfully.
