LG Optimus G Pro sales surpass half a million units

LG has announced that the sales (to supply channel) of their latest flagship, the Optimus G Pro has surpassed 500 thousand units in their home county Korea, in less than 40 days of launch. The LG Optimus G Pro was unveiled in February, that went on sale in Korea on February 21st. LG announced last month that they have sold over 10 million LTE smartphones globally, since their first LTE smartphone that was launched in Korea back in October 2011. The Optimus LTE sold 5,000 units on the first day of the launch, LG has announced they sold 10,000 units of the Optimus G Pro on the launch day.

The LG Optimus G Pro has a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS curved glass display, 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm  Snapdragon 600 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 2 MP front-facing camera and packs a 3140 mAh battery. It has a Dual Recording feature that allows users to capture video with both the front and rear cameras simultaneously and Virtual Reality (VR) Panorama feature in the camera allows shots of entire horizontal and vertical environments for a full 360 degree view.

The LG Optimus G Pro would get a new Value Pack Upgrade that would bring Smart Video feature recognizes the position of the viewer’s eyes and automatically plays or stops the video and the Smart Camera feature, an extension of the Smart Video, would let you capture photographs using both the front and back cameras for a picture-in-picture composition.
