ZTE has announced the Grand X2, successor of the Grand X IN that was unveiled last year. The Grand X IN was powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Medfield Z2460 processor, but the Grand X2 has a 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+ processor with hyper-threading. It has a 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and runs on Android Jelly Bean OS. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus camera on the back with LED flash and 1-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera has zero shutter lag and is capable of capturing images at 24 frames per second.
It has soft-touch finish and a 0.7 mm slim screen touch panel for a slimmer design. It has built-in Audio enhancement technology and Wireless Display (WiDi) to enable wireless streaming between connected media devices. ZTE announced the GEEK recently that is also powered by a similar Intel Clover Trail+ chip.

ZTE Grand X2 would be available in Europe in Q3 2013 from key operators and channel partners. It would being showcased at the MedPi conference in Monaco from 14 to 17 May 2013.
