Panasonic launched its first big launch in the Smartphone market, the P51 with a quad-core processor and a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with scratch resistant Asahi Dragon trail glass, all powered by a 2500 mAh battery. The Panasonic P51 comes in Black and White colors. Here’s a hands on feel of the device. A detailed look of the phone hardware and glimpse of its key features.
The Panasonic P51 has a massive 5-inch touch screen with a slim body. It comes with a Magnetic flip cover to protect that large screen real estate.
The magnetic bar is placed on the backside.
The cover can be detached easily.
The front side has a HD IPS display with scratch resistant Asahi Dragon-trail glass
Front camera is 1.3MP 720p.
Panasonic P51 tries to encompass several features in the 5 inch screen phone. The battery is sealed inside. It is a 2500 mAh battery that can give upto 23 hours of talk time on a 2G network.
The P51 is a dual sim phone. Both sim slots are placed together, on one very thin spine.
The same spine has the micro USB slot for charging and data transfer.
Micro SD slot can take upto 32 GB. The phone already has 4GB internal memory and 1GB RAM. Volume rockers sit pretty, right above it.
Top side has the usual 3.5 mm Jack and the Power button.
The backside has a matte finish and has the battery sealed inside.
8 MP Camera with full HD recording capability is placed here, with a single LED Flash.
Despite the big battery and massive front screen the phone is slim, and light to hold. However , the broad frame might not be comfortable for every hand. The P51 is 8.5mm thick and weighs 135 grams.
Panasonic P51 has some great connectivity features. 3G HSDPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS capability also included.
The phone runs on Android 4.2
