The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is yet another entrant into the already crowded “5 inch 720p screen, quad core processor” market that has been flooded with a lot of phones this year. However, with a price tag of Rs. 11,999 this seems to be the cheapest of the lot in that range. Equipped with very similar specs to that of the various other smartphones in this price range, the device has landed in our office for testing. So, as a ritualistic start to the way of things, we start with the unboxing of the device, to see what’s special inside the box. Here’s the video –

These are the box contents that came with the device –
You get –
- The phone(with a 2000 mAH battery separate)
- Two back covers, and of them, one is a flip cover
- In-ear headset
- Micro USB cable
- travel charging adapter
- Service center list
- User manual and warranty card
Interesting to see Zen has bundled a Flip cover, which was made popular by Samsung, and is unanimously wanted by all phablet buyers these days. It was uneasy to note that the micro USB cable, the headset and the charger felt really cheap. But then, we can’t complain much considering that the phone retails at a low price.
