HTC sales touch $970 million, its best month since June 2012

HTC has revealed its monthly revenues for May 2013 and it might be considered the first sign of recovery for the ailing smartphone manufacturer. The company posted sales worth $970 million which is just 3% lower than what it last reported in May 2012.

While not out of the danger zone yet, the sales revenues reported by HTC are close to double that in April and is the best month of business since June 2012. The sales boost can be owed to the excellent reviews for the HTC One around the world and accompanying sales. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer is said to have sold almost 5 million units of the HTC One. However all is not rosy at the smartphone manufacturer that has seen several execs being ousted. The latest in this line is COO Matthew Costello who is leaving his role at HTC. It is still not clear if he has been fired or has put in his resignation. It will be interesting to see if HTC can make a  complete recovery and will have to continue introducing a range of compelling products to keep up the momentum.
