Yota Devices, popular LTE connectivity company based in Russia, and Olive Telecom, one of the leading wireless device vendors India have have partnered to introduce new TD-LTE dongles (modems), portable and fixed routers in the Indian market. Olive Telecom will provide market intelligence and local support for operator testing, customization, logistics and after sales service.
Airtel has already launched the 4G LTE services in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune and Chandigarh. Reliance plans to launch their 4G TD-LTE service in India next year. Yota Device has utilized this opportunity to introduce their TD-LTE devices in the Indian market.
These products offer driver-less installation to any device (PC, notebook, tablet or even third-party wireless router), customized Web UI to access operator’s services, optimized radio performance and long battery life. The company did not receal the product portfolio yet, but they have revealed that Initial products will cover LTE-only and multimode devices in various form factors, based on Qualcomm MDM 9215 and Altair chipsets.
