Micromax launched the A88 Canvas Music, the first Music Phone in the Canvas series last month. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a 1 Ghz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor based on ARM Cortex A9 with PowerVR SGX531 GPU. Here are the benchmarks of the device compared to other Android smartphones.

The phone is just behind the A115 Canvas 3D that uses the same chip.
AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3
Here the Lenovo P770 that is powered by the MediaTek MT6577 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz tops the benchmark.
Vellamo 2 HTML5
The phone lies behind the P770 and the Huawei G510 that have Android 4.1 on-board.
Vellamo 2 Metal
In the Vellamo 2 Metal CPU subsystem performance test, the phone is few points lesser than the Celkon A119.
Linpack – Single Thread
The phone scores around 40 points in the Linpack single thread benchmark similar to the other phones the are powered by a similar chip.
Linpack – Multi-Thread
In the Linpack multi-thread benchmark the phone is behind most of the other Android smartphones.
NenaMark 2
It managed to clock just 22.8 fps in the NenaMark 2 GPU benchmark.
GLBenchmark 2.5 Egypt (On Screen)
Here the phone clocks 3.2 fps, better than most of the smartphones.
