We had our hands on the Nokia E72 last week and you must have seen the photo gallery . Some good news now for E71 users , we managed to grab some pics of the E71 along with the E72 so that you can start saving for your upgrade right now and also kickstart the E72vsE71 death match in your brain !

There are a lot of minor changes to the QWERTY keyboard. The center button on 5 way joystick gets the touch-sensitive Optical NaviKey.The Optical Navikey makes scrolling a lot easier and it can be also used to focus when inside the Camera. The layout of the main control keys have changed and the one-touch keys stand out of the rest.The bottom row of the keypad has a shorter space bar and accommodates 2 more keys. Also more symbols have been added to the alpha keys. Also there are keys for Bluetooth , Flashlight and Silent Mode.

The panel on the E72 will be easier to open. Also do you notice that the patten on the metal cover different ? The speaker moves from the top on the E71 to the rear on the E72. There is a much better 5 Megapixel Camera on the E72

The 2.5mm audio jack goes away from the right side on the E72 and is moved to the top.
on the left the order of the slots is changed on the e72 – its the microUSB slot first and then the memory card slot.

The Power button is moved to the center and there is the great news – 3.5 mm audio jack on the top.

on the bottom its pretty much the same, the small pin charger slot and the lanyard hole. What’s interesting is that they decided to retain the small pin charger support considering the fact that many E72 users might be switching from the E71.

E72 is 0.1 mm thicker than E71 . Do you even notice that ?

We can’t wait to trade our E71’s for the E72. While the official launch in India is on the cards , some retailers are already quoting a price of Rs.22000-24000 for this E-Series superstar.
