Twitter has updated the apps for Android, iPhone and iPad apps that brings direct messages (DM) sync across all your devices, so when you read a DM on your a device, it will be marked as read in other devices. Twitter for Android v4.1.2, iPhone and iPad v5.8 update brings improved search results that shows expanded user result with full bio when you search for people on Twitter. It also shows similar accounts when you swipe to the left, and a new in-app indicator in search results will show you when there are new Tweets for your query. The iPhone app now has built-in Tweet composer that appears when you tap to see details.

Download Twitter for Android from the Google Play Store, and Twitter for iPhone and iPad from the Apple iTunes Store for free, if you don’t have them yet. The Direct Message sync would roll out gradually.
