Nokia finally unveiled the Lumia 1020 at an event in New York few hours back. We brought you the hands-on impressions of the device of impressive the device with a 41-megapixel camera sensor earlier today. We brought you a detailed comparison of the S4 Zoom with the Nokia Lumia 808, Nokia’s first 41-megapixel camera phone and the Samsung first smartphone with optical zoom. Here is the hands on comparison of the Lumia 1020 with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom from the event.

Both these devices can make phone calls, have Xenon flash and optical image stabilization (OIS), but the sensors vary. The Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 41-megapixel 1/1.5″ sensor with a pixel size of 1.12 microns and Carl Zeiss optics and the Galaxy S4 zoom has a 16 Megapixel 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor with a pixel size of 1.34 microns. The S4 Zoom has 10x optical zoom wheres the 5MP mode in the Lumia 1020 has 3x high resolution lossless zoom.
The Lumia 1020 has 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) Pure Motion HD+ AMOLED ClearBlack display and the Galaxy S4 Zoom has a 4.3 inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display. Both these phones have a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Lumia 1020 is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor with Adreno 225 GPU and the Exynos 4212 dual-core Cortex A9 chip clocked at 1.5 GHz with 400 MHz Mali 400MP4 GPU.
The S4 Zoom is 15.4 mm thick and heavier at 206 grams than the Lumia 1020 which is 10.4 mm thick (Volume thickness) and weighs 158 grams.
