BlackBerry has launched the BlackBerry Q5 in India as we reported yesterday. This is the company’s third phone running on BlackBerry 10 OS, and a second phone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard in the OS 10 series. BlackBerry launched the Z10 back in February and the BlackBerry Q10 was launched last month. It was announced at the BlackBerry Live event in Orlando last month and packs a 3.1-inch (720 x 720 pixels) capactive touch screen IPS display at 330 PPI pixel density, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor.
The BlackBerry 10 has BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Flow UX, BBM with voice and video chat, Time Shift camera, HTML 5 support in browser, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, BlackBerry World application store and more. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 4-element F2.4 lens, LED Flash and 1080p full video recording. There is a 2-megapixel front facing camera with 720p HD video recording. It is 10.5 mm thick and weighs 129 grams. It packs a 2GB RAM, 8GB of inbuilt memory and supports microSD cards upto 32 GB.

The connectivity features include, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n,Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It has 2180 mAh battery that would offer up to 12.5 hours of Talktime and up to 14 days standby.
The BlackBerry Q5 is priced at Rs. 24,990. It comes in Black, Pure White and Pure Red colors and would be available from July 20th through authorized retailers across India. It would also come with EMI options at 0% interest and 0% down payment on select credit cards similar to Z10.
