New Nexus 7 already gets unboxed and benchmarked

Google is going to announced the New Nexus 7 officially later today. We had already seen several leaks of the device, now Android Police has posted the unboxing images and video and benchmarks of the ASUS-made Google Nexus 7 tablet. The tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 at 320 ppi pixel density, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) (build JWR66N)out of the box. It is said to have a back made of matte soft touch plastic material similar to the Nexus 10. The CPU-Z details reveal that the tablet’s codename as razor.

It has a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. Check out the unboxing video posted by Android Police

The tablet would pack 2GB RAM and come in 16GB and 32GB variants. The tablet scores 5501 points in the Quadrant benchmark and 19883 in the AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3, better than the Tegra 3-powered first-gen Nexus 7. It clocks in at 7,188 in the 3DMark  Ice Storm Extreme GPU benchmark, which is way better than the last year’s Nexus 7 that manages to score around 1,877, according to Android Police.
