One of the most popular mobile browser, Opera Mini is out with a new beta version, Opera Mini 5 Beta.
Some of the new features of Opera Mini 5 are:
- Tabbed Browsing: Opera has finally listened to all the opera mini fans and has introduced Tabbed browsing into Opera Mini. Now you can easily browse several web sites at the same time and also switch from one website to another and back effortlessly.
- Speed Dial: The innovative Speed Dial feature of Opera Desktop Browser has now been ported to Opera Mini as well. To add a new page onto the speed dial, simply click on an empty Speed Dial slot, and select any one of the suggestions Opera makes, based on your browsing history and bookmarks.
- Support For Copy/Paste: Opera has finally has implemented Copy/Paste onto Opera Mini. Now you can easily copy paste text from webpages onto different applications on your phone.
- Optimized for Touch Interface: Opera Mini interface has now been optimized for both touchscreen phones and keypad phones. The touchscreen version of Opera Mini now possesses a new zooming feature and also features kinetic scrolling as well which makes it even easier for surfing the web on your mobile.
- Password manager: Yes. Opera Mini 5 now has a password manager as well. Therefore, you can now log on to your email, your facebook or twitter account or any other social networks and other website with just a single click.
- Faster Websites: Opera Mini now boats of compressing webpages by up to 90% before being sent to your phone which means faster page load times and lesser bandwidth usage, which is a huge boost for users who are not on a flat data plans and pay per data usage.
- Search Function: The new Opera Mini now lets you search for text within a Web page so that you can get to the information you need much quicker than before.
- Power Scrolling: You can now scroll at warp speed using your keypad on the phone or by dragging the page on a touch screen phone.
