Facebook for Android updated with Facebook Home cover feed support

Facebook has updated the Facebook application for Android with support for Facebook Home cover feed for select devices. The Facebook Home app that was released back in April is no longer needed. The latest update also adds option to save photos to your phone from the photo viewer. After the new update the status bar now shows at the top of your lock screen by default.

The Facebook Home support was initially available for HTC One X, One X+, Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. Facebook promised that support for HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 would soon, now the app supports those two devices and also official support for the Nexus 4. The Facebook Home app leaked before the official release back in April, and we tried it on the Nexus 4.

Download Facebook for Android from the Google Play Store for free, if you don’t have it yet. The Facebook Home app has not been removed yet since it is required for Home launcher. The Facebook Home app was expected to bring exclusive Chat Heads support but the Messenger app got the Chat Heads support before the Facebook Home released.

Facebook has also released v3.5 update for the beta testers that brings lot of fixes.
