ZTE Open, the first commercial Firefox OS device went on sale in Spain last month. Now ZTE has officially announced that it would go on sale in the US and UK soon through eBay. The Firefox developer devices Keon and Peak manufactured by Spanish company GeeksPhone went on sale in April. The ZTE Open was unveiled at the MWC earlier this year. It has a 3.5-inch (480×320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz MSM7225A Snapdragon S1 processor and runs on Firefox OS.
It has a 3.2-megapixel fixed focus rear camera and is 12.5 mm thick. It has 256MB RAM, 512MB internal memory. The connectivity features include, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS, with AGPS and it packs a 1200 mAh battery. ZTE is doing a great job by making the ZTE Open available globally through eBay. Hope they expand it to other countries too.
The ZTE Open would be available in Orange color at 79.99 USD and 59.99 Pounds respectively in the US and UK. Since it unlocked it would work on all mobile networks.
