Xolo has announced that they have finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xolo X1000. It was launched back in March running on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). At the time of launch Xolo promised to update the phone to Jelly Bean in a couple of month, the update was expected to launch back in June, but it was delayed. It took them about 5 months to release an update.
The Xolo A800 got the the Jelly Bean update recently, the Xolo Q700 that is already running on Android 4.2 has also received a major update along with the Q600 that got a minor update. The new Android Jelly Bean update for the X1000 would bring faster performance with project butter, Google Now, Better notifications and lots more features.
The Android 4.1 update for the Xolo X1000 would be available over-the-air (OTA). You can manually check for the update from Settings->About phone-> System updates-> Update from OTA. Xolo did not reveal any details about the Android 4.1 for the Xolo X900, the company’s first Intel-powered smartphone that received the ICS update back in October last year.
