Google Nexus 7 2013 Travel Cover hands on

You might have seen us review the new Google Nexus 7 2013 a while back in which we concluded it is indeed an excellent small tablet, but as with any large screened device, especially ones that are imported from other countries, the risk of broken/shattered glass is high. So, we naturally went ahead and bought the Travel Cover for the new Nexus 7 2013 from ASUS and made a short hands on video for you –

The new cover is more subtle than the old one for the old Nexus 7. Made of soft touch silicon, the cover tightly wraps around the device with necessary openings for the ports and such. While the device is already grippy without a cover, the Travel Cover makes it even grippier and easier to hold. There is a flap that covers the front up, but it is also made of silicon and there are no magnets around to make it sit in a place. We gotta say though, the overall quality of the cover is a bit cheap, it’s almost like the rubber used to manufacture flip flops.

Otherwise, the cover is pretty normal. You have the ASUS branding at the back, but no Nexus branding unlike the older cover and no, no textures either. So, that was a quick hands on of the Travel Cover for the new Nexus 7, check out more photos of the cover on the new Nexus 7 2013, and don’t forget to read our complete review of it.
