Xolo has announced that they have started rolling out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for the Xolo Play that improves the performance of the update. The Xolo Play (T1000) was launched last month, and we reviewed the device recently. It is the first phone from Xolo to be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. The graphics is taken care of 416 MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU. It runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), sadly the new update does not bring Android 4.2.
The Xolo X1000 got the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update recently. Xolo did not reveal the complete changelog regarding the new update in the Xolo Play. We found some performance glitches in our review, hope the new update solves all these glitches and brings a smooth experience for the Xolo Play users.
The latest performance update for the Xolo Play would be available over-the-air (OTA). You can manually check for the update from Settings->About phone-> System updates-> Update from OTA. You can read the complete instructions on official XOLO website. Xolo did not reveal when the device would get the Android 4.2 update.
