The Samsung Galaxy Gear is the first smartwatch to come from Samsung and comes with a range of features to act as the perfect partner to your Galaxy Note 3 (and in the future, other Galaxy devices). Featuring a swipe and gesture based user interface, the Galaxy Gear comes with a 1.63 inch Super AMOLED display that outputs 320 x 320 pixels for sharp clarity on the small screen size.

The Galaxy Gear comes with Galaxy Gear apps including S-Voice, Gallery, Schedule and the new Pocket Listen for Galaxy Gear. Unlike other smart watches, the Galaxy Gear connects to your Galaxy smartphone and can display your call logs and contacts on screen. However it goes further as it also allows you to make calls directly from the Galaxy Gear and also answer incoming calls just by lifting your hand (with the Galaxy Gear on) to your ear to answer automatically.

The Galaxy Gear displays notifications from your phone on the small screen but goes one step further – Smart Relay functionality means that if you open a notification on your Galaxy Gear and then take your Galaxy Note 3 out of your pocket, the same notification will be displayed allowing you to browse it in more detail. The Galaxy Gear is definitely the connected smartwatch to have with a 1.9MP autofocus camera built into the wrist-strap allowing you to take photos on the move and a speaker/microphone allowing you to make/receive phone calls without having to use your Galaxy Note 3 phablet.
