Gionee Elife E5 Benchmarks

Gionee launched the Elife E5 in India back in July. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. Since this has a faster processor, the scores would obviously be better than the MT6589 chip clocked at 1.2 GHz present in the Elife E3 that we reviewed back in June. It has a 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus display and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Let’s find out how this compete with other devices in range of synthetic benchmark tests. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adQvcYVNzV4 Quadrant Benchmark The Gionee Elife E5 tops the Quadrant Benchmark when compared to other quad-core smartphones in the similar range. AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3 Again the Elife E5 tops the AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3 with over 16k points. Vellamo 2.0 HTML5 The Elife E5 scores over 1600 points in the Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser benchmark. Vellamo 2.0 Metal It scores 582 points and tops the Vellamo 2 Metal CPU subsystem performance test. Linpack Single Thread It clocked around 44 MFLOPS in the linpack single thread benchmark. Linpack Multi-Thread It clocked around 132 MFLOPS in the linpack multi-thread benchmark. NenaMark 2 It tops the NenaMark 2 GPU benchmark by clocking 54.9 fps. GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen) It clocked 5.9 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen) benchmark, almost similar to the Q1000S. GFXBench 2.5 Egypt HD (On screen) The GFXBench 2.5 Egypt HD (On screen) scores are similar to the Q1000S powered by the same chip. Basemark X HD (Onscreen) It managed to clock around 5 fps in the Basemark X HD (OnScreen) GPU benchmark. Basemark X HD (Offscreen) The Elife E5 clocked around 2.7 fps, almost similar to the Q1000S, in the Basemark X HD (OffScreen) benchmark. We will bring you the gaming performance demos and the complete review of the Elife E5 soon.
