Asus has finally announced the new Padfone Infinity at an event in Taipei as they promised last week. The new Padfone Infinity is the fourth device in the Padfone series that lets you dock the phone in the Padfone station to convert it into a tablet. The new Padfone Infinity packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display similar to the last-gen device, but this is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box.
Even this has a unibody frame with a brushed metal aluminium finish. It has the same 13 MP camera with LED flash, 1080p HD video recording, f2.0 aperture and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera now has a new app with PixelMaster, which combines multiple pixels to form a 3-megapixel image that is sharper and cleaner. It also has the SonicMaster audio technology.
The Padfone dock is same as the last-gen Infinity with a 10.1-inch (1920×1080 pixels) display with anti-finger print coating. So you can use the the new Padfone Inifity with the old one.
