The app is still in beta stage, but is available for the public use. Once installed, the users must set emergency contacts who will receive a message when situation occurs. The users can choose to send out the emergency message by touching the send emergency message button inside the application or by tapping the power button five times within 2 seconds.

The application automatically detects the user’s location using GPS, Cell Tower or WiFi information and attaches it to the emergency message. A default message that was set can be sent or a message can be created at that moment and sent. There are some text message templates along with the current location of the user so that the user can send the message faster.

There are also battery saving options that will disable connectivity options and kill the background processes. There is also an option to enable/disable silent mode. As a means of assuring privacy, Notion Ink assures that the locations or phone numbers are not backed up anywhere and are used only for the intended purposes.

You can download the I’m Shakti application from the Google Play Store
