Samsung SM-G910S Curved Display phone gets leaked

Prolific leaker of upcoming devices ie Evleaks just tweeted out two images of Samsung’s new curved display handset. The SM-G910S which will most definitely be given a more consumer friendly name by launch is expected to be a variant of the Galaxy Note 3.

Earlier this year at the Galaxy Gear event, Samsung hinted that it might have a curved display device coming up soon. Fast forward to October and we are all set to see the Note 3 Curved Display edition. The advantages of this technology are more to do with ergonomics. The current Note 3 with 5.7 inch display is definitely on the larger side, giving it a curved body would reduce the width of the phone while still packing a large screen. Depending on the curvature of the back panel, it would also sit very well in the palm of your hand. How practical the design proves to be is something we’ll come to know only once we’ve tested out the device. This particular model will be restricted to the Korean market but its success or failure will be indicative of a prospective international release. LG too will be announcing their curved display handset later this month. With the flexible and curved display market heating up, we can’t wait to see some innovative and creative uses of the technology.
