Apple sends out invites for October 22nd Launch event, new iPads coming

We’d previously reported on expected dates for Apple’s upcoming event and invites have now been sent out for the same. Apple will be holding its October 22nd media event at the Yerba Buena Center for Arts in San Francisco. The Cupertino based company will be showcasing its new iPad models at the event. The iPad Mini is expected to get the long awaited Retina display treatment as well.

Alongside the iPad updates, Apple is also expected to reveal Haswell based Macbook Pro models and announce a shipping date for the next generation Mac Pro. Apple’s invitation letters often contain clues as to its announcements and the rather cryptic tagline that says “We still have a lot to cover” leaves a lot to the imagination. Alongside the hardware updates, OS X Mavericks should also start shipping out on the 22nd. Might we also see the much rumored iWatch? While it seems doubtful, Apple might just pull off its legendary ‘One More Thing’ and showcase the highly anticipated product. We’ll have the low down on the new announcements right here.
