Huawei has finally announced the Ascend W2, the company’s latest smartphone running on Windows Phone 8 after several rumors. It is the successor of the Ascend W1 that was announced at the CES 2013 earlier this year, and packs a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA super-sensitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8230 processor. It has a 5 MP auto focus rear camera with 720p HD video recording. The phone has capacitive touch buttons with backlight similar to the color of the phone.

The Huawei Ascend W2 TD version is already available in China since August and the Ascend W2 UMTS version began shipping to China from October 2013. It comes in Black,Blue,Red and Yellow colors an would be available in Russia and the Netherlands from November, with other markets to follow. No word on pricing yet.
