The Aqua i7 is Intex’s latest flagship phone and it packs as many features as you’d demand from a packed-to-the-brim mid range phone. The specs race in the Indian market is well known, and for about two years, countless manufacturers have released MediaTek based phones to compete in the lucrative and affordable mid range segment. The recent breed of phones now sport a quad core processor with a full HD screen and a 13 megapixel camera. The presence of a 13 megapixel camera in the mid range was unknown until this year, when virtually every Indian manufacturer’s flagship phones has it, and the Intex Aqua i7 is no exception. It has a 13 megapixel camera and a single LED flash, hoping to let you take some decent photos with this phone. Well, does it? Lets find out from the camera samples below.

Initial impressions
As you can see from the above images, the Aqua i7’s 13 megapixel camera is rather really decent. Captures the colours quite well and even the HDR photos were a revelation for us, as we have seen only washed out photos with other phones in the same price range. We also noted that taking macro shots were extremely hard with this phone, the focus distance is longer than usual, making it slightly irritating to take photos up close. The low light performance on the other hand leaves much to be desired, with colour noise showing up in extreme low light conditions and flash doing no good. But this is a mid range phone, may be we are expecting too much.
Anyways, we will have a lot more to talk about in our full review regarding the camera and a lot other features of the Intex Aqua i7. Do stay tuned to our YouTube channel for the in-depth camera review and the eventual coverage of this phone.
