Xolo Q1000 Opus powered by Broadcom BCM23550 quad-core chip launching this month

Xolo has announced that the company has partnered with Broadcom to launched the Xolo Q1000 Opus powered by Broadcom BCM23550 later this month.  Broadcom signed up for  ARMv7 and ARMv8 Architecture licenses earlier this year and announced the chip back in June, which has four ARM Cortex A7 Cores. The chip has support for Broadcom’s BCM4334 connectivity combo chip with 3G HSPA+ (HSPDA: 21Mbps; HSUPA 5.8 Mbps) connectivity and and BCM4752 multi-constellation GNSS location chip. It also has support for NFC, up to 12MP imaging, Dual SIM support and 1080p HD video capture and playback.

It also lets user stream content over Wi-Fi and simultaneously share and project HD video, photos and gaming applications on a larger screen via Miracast. It is likely to come with a 8MP or a 12MP rear camera and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).

Regarding the upcoming smartphone, Sunil Raina, Business Head at XOLO said,

We still don’t have the complete specifications of the device, here are the key features of the upcoming Xolo Q1000 Opus smartphone

  • 1.2 GHz Quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 ARM Cortex A7 processor
  • VideoCore IV GPU for enhanced 3D gaming and other graphics-rich applications
  • 21 Mbps HSPA+ downstream connectivity, 5.8 Mbps of upstream connectivity
  • GPS/GLONASS, WLAN, MEMs and Cell ID for the best indoor/outdoor location
  • Dual HD display support with 720p LCD and external HD panel via Wi-Fi Miracast-capable displays

Xolo Q1000 Opus smartphone would go on sale by the end of November 2013.
