Motorola Moto G – Drop Test & Scratch Test

How durable is a cheap phone?  Cheap Android phones may not survive the odd drop or scratch but what about the Google-backed Motorola Moto G?

Earlier this week Motorola unveiled their new cheap phone which comes with a 4.5 inch 720p HD screen and a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. There’s also 1GB RAM and a 5MP camera along with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the Pure Android experience! The best thing is – the Moto G sells for just 12-14k but is guaranteed to get Android KitKat from the Nexus 5 by the end of January 2014.

Chances are if you buy the Moto G, you’ll put it in your pockets where you might have keys or coins (and even maybe a knife?). The folks over at UKMobileReview have put the Moto G to the test, first with the scratch test:

What happens when you drop this phone though? You might be at work, out in the road or even in your kitchen. Well if it’s a wooden floor or other hard surface, you might just be surprised with the results! Here’s the drop test:
