Round 1 – Micromax Canvas Turbo vs Lenovo P780 #Smartfone13

Hello readers! Welcome to the first round of Fonearena’s Best Budget Smartphone Competition. Fonearena is conducting one of a kind smartphone championship where you get to make your favorite smartphone win. This year we are conducting two championships – one for the flagships and one for the budget mid-range smartphones. Among the four interesting first round battles, we have the one between Micromax Canvas Turbo and Lenovo P780 right now.

Micromax has launched three flagship smartphones this year and the Micromax Canvas Turbo is the latest from the company. Micromax Canvas Turbo is the company’s first smartphone with a Full HD display and comes in an all aluminum build. Lenovo P780 comes off as a typical mid-range phablet with average phablet specifications, but has a few tricks up its sleeve with a 4000mAh battery and unbelievably solid and premium build.

Micromax Canvas Turbo comes with a 5inch 1080p Full HD display and features a MediaTek 1.5GHz quad-core MT6589T processor. There is 2GB RAM and 16GB without any microSD card slot. Micromax Canvas Turbo runs on a near stock version of Android 4.2 with a few software features(gimmicks). On the back, Canvas Turbo has a 13MP camera that can record 1080p videos and a 5MP front facing camera.

Lenovo P780 is a typical mid-range phablet with a 5inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core MT6589 processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for expansion of internal storage. Lenovo P780 runs on a slightly customized version of Android 4.2.1 Jellybean and comes with a huge 4000mAh battery. On the back, there is a 8MP camera that can record 1080p videos and there is a 1.2MP front facing camera.
