Nokia unveiled the Lumia 525, the company’s latest budget smartphone and the successor of the Lumia 520 last month. Nokia did not reveal the price of the phone last month. The Lumia 525 went on sale in Singapore last week at a price tag of SG$249 (~Rs. 12,280). The 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display at 235 ppi, super sensitive IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and runs on Windows Phone 8. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 720p HD video recording. RAM has been upgraded to 1GB from 512MB. Even thought it packs the same 1430 mAh battery, the battery life has been improved.

The Nokia Lumia 525 comes in Orange, White and Yellow colors. It also comes with exchangeable back covers. It is not clear when Nokia plans to launch the phone in India or how much it would cost.
