We recently unboxed the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 which was a budget smartphone from Samsung and today, we are unboxing yet another budget smartphone from Samsung – Samsung Galaxy Star Pro. The Samsung Galaxy Star Pro is the perfect definition of an entry level Android device. It just packs the bare minimum features necessary for Android to run.
Being an entry level budget smartphone, the specifications are quite modest. Samsung Galaxy Star Pro comes with a 4inch display sporting a resolution of 480×800 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz single core processor and has 512MB RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Star Pro is Samsung’s bet in the crowded entry level Android market which is currently dominated by Indian manufacturers. You can check out the unboxing video right below in which we take a look at the box contents and give a quick overview of the hardware of Samsung Galaxy Star Pro.

The box contents were minimal as it is just an entry level smartphone. The various things in the box are
- Samsung Galaxy Star Pro
- Battery
- MicroUSB Charger
- Quick Start Guide
- Headphones
The phone looks like any other Samsung Galaxy smartphone and follows a similar design language with an all plastic build. Unlike the matte finish back of Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2, the back of Samsung Galaxy Star Pro is quite glossy. The back cover is removable and there are two microSIM card slots underneath the battery. The display is also quite glossy, but the brightness levels seem quite good. There is just a 2MP camera on the back of the device. Being a budget device, the Galaxy Star Pro obviously lacks a front facing camera, but there is a proximity and ambient sensor combination on the front of the device above the display.
