Samsung announced the Galaxy Camera 2, successor of the first Galaxy Camera ahead of CES last week. We got some hands on time with the Galaxy Camera 2 at the CES this week. The Galaxy Camera 2 has a 16.3 Megapixel 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor and has the same 21x Optical Zoom Lens along with Xenon Flash and OIS support. This has a leather texture on its body that is completely different from the plastic body in the first Galaxy camera. It also weighs a bit lesser than its predecessor.

It comes with a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch Display with 308 ppi, powered by a 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). This doesn’t have a SIM card slot, but comes with a micro SD card slot that lets you expand the memory up to 64GB.
It has 2GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory and a range of connectivity options such as WiFi a/b/g/n, WiFi HT40, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/GLONASS and NFC. It packs a 2000 mAh battery.
