Back in December, Vivo, yet another Chinese Manufacturer announced the world’s first 2k Display Android smartphone. The smartphone, Vivo Xplay 3S is the successor of Vivo Xplay and comes with a 6inch display sporting a 2K resolution of 2560×1440 and hence a pixel density of 490ppi. In terms of specifications, the Vivo Xplay 3S is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC along with 3GB RAM. Graphics are taken care of by Adreno 330 GPU. The internal storage is 32GB and there is a big 3200 mAh battery to take care of the huge high resolution display.
The weight of the device is surprisingly low at 172g and the bezels are just 4.5mm thick. The front is dominated by the display and there is a 5MP camera above the display and to the right of the earpiece. There is a 13MP camera at the back with an LED flash below which we have the fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo Xplay 3S runs on Android 4.3 which is overlaid by the company’s own FunTouch OS. The FunTouch OS has a lot of software features and gimmicks.
