We just unboxed the Nokia Asha 502, and next up we have the Asha 503 Dual SIM phone, which is technically a variant of the Asha 502. The Asha 501 led the portfolio of devices based on the Asha SW platform earlier last year, but now, it is accompanied by new devices offering more choices of the same. Even by design, the unique iced look of the casings presents a compelling point for people looking at buying their first quasi-smartphones. So, how does the Asha 503 look and feel, and what are its box contents? We unbox the phone for you on video, to find out –

Much like the Asha 502, the box contents are minimal –
Box Contents –
- Nokia Asha 503 Dual SIM in black
- 3.5mm standard headset in bright red
- Standard 3 pin Indian plug with micro USB charging
- Information booklet and warranty
The Asha 503 too has the frost iced look for the casing, in which a translucent layer of plastic is covering a matte polycarbonate case underneath. This makes for a really nice finish on bright coloured phones but on black, not so much. It does look good, with the gloss standing out in light, we but we wished to have seen more with a better colour.
The main difference here with the Asha 503 is that one of the two SIMs on the phone is capable of 3G connectivity. Hence the battery too is of higher capacity so that the power draw of a 3G modem is compensated. With the same 3 inch 320×240 display as the Asha 502 and the 501, we noticed that this particular one seemed to have more contrast than the 502, but it might just be due to the scratch guard applied on the 502. We will compare the 502 and the 503 in a separate post, look for it soon.
We’ll let you know more about the Nokia Asha 503 in our full review, so hang on until then and here are more pictures of the box contents and the device –
