Amazon’s New Kindle Paperwhite goes on sale in India starting at Rs. 10999

Amazon launched the first Paperwhite in India back in June 2013. The New Kindle Paperwhite that was launched in India last month is now on sale in India. The 2nd generation Paperwhite that was announced back in September 2013  has a the same 6-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display at 212 PPI pixel density and a built-in light similar to the first generation Kindle Paperwhite, but this has a new display technology with higher contrast, the next generation built-in light, a faster processor and new touch technology.

It comes with the udual WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support, has 2 GB of internal memory (1.25 GB user memory) to store about 1000 Books and offers up to 8 weeks (wireless off) of battery life. It also has a 3G version that comes with built-in 3G and EDGE/GPRS support.
