Nokia X – Nokia’s Android smartphone announced

At the MWC 2014, Nokia has just announced its first Android powered smartphone in the form of Nokia X. Nokia X was long rumored and it had been going around the rumor mill as Nokia Normandy. Nokia X’s software platform is built over AOSP with Microsoft’s Cloud services along with Nokia experience. Nokia X is one of the three Android powered smartphones that Nokia has announced today. Nokia X serves as the entry range option for the Nokia X series of AOSP powered devices.

The talking point of the Nokia X is its unique experience and ability to run Android apps. It comes with Nokia’s own experience combined with Fastlane experience from Asha built over Android core. Nokia X will have access to various app stores including Nokia’s own app store that will have the best of curated content.

Nokia X will be available immediately and is priced at 89Euros(approx Rs. 7,500). It would be available in a range of colors – Green, Cyan, White, Black, Red.
