Acer Liquid E3 Hands on and Photo Gallery

Just ahead of the MWC 2014, Acer announced a couple of Android smartphones and it is showcasing them at the MWC 2014 show floor. Among the smartphones that it announced, the Acer Liquid E3 is one and it fits quite well in the range of mid-range Android smartphones quite well. It is powered by the very familiar MediaTek processor and comes with the same hardware specs that most mid-range phones have along with a few tricks up its sleeve.

We managed to get a few minutes with the device and we shot a quick hands on video which you can check out right below.

The specifications of the Acer Liquid E3 are as follows –

  • 1.2 GHz quad-core processor
  • Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, upgradable to Android KitKat 4.4 later this year
  • 8.9 mm thick and weighs 135g
  • 13MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 1080p HD video recording

While most of the features are very common in the mid-range Android smartphone category, some of the unique features of Acer Liquid E3 are its AcerRAPID Key feature, the inclusion of DTS audio and LED flash for front camera. The AcerRAPID key is quite similar to the LG G2’s power lock button on the back below the camera, but Acer claims that the AcerRAPID key is contextual and lets you do more with a single button.

You can use it to unlock the device, unlock the device in camera app, shoot images and few other options. The device is expected to go on sale during April 2014. We took a few photos with the device which you can check out below.
