Just ahead of the MWC 2014, Acer announced a couple of smartphones that it would showcase at the MWC 2014 show floor. Among the Android smartphones that it announced,the Acer Liquid Z4 is an interesting budget smartphone with entry range specifications. As a typical entry range device, it is powered by a MediaTek processor.

The specifications of the Acer Liquid Z4 are as follows
- 4inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display
- 1.3 GHz dual-core processor MediaTek processor
- Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, upgradable to Android KitKat 4.4 later this year
- 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash
- 0.3MP front-facing camera
- AcerRAPID key
- 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB
- 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and aGPS
Just like the Acer Liquid E3, which was also showcased, Liquid Z4 comes with a unique AcerRAPID key on its back. According to Acer, the key is placed just where your fingers will be. This is not a single function key, but Acer explains that it will behave contextually let you do more than just unlock your device.
In the software front, it comes with Quick Mode profiles such as Basic Mode, Senior Mode, Classic mode and Keypad mode, Acer Float User Interface for better multitasking. The device is expected to go on sale in April and will be available in White and Black color options. You can check out a few photos of the device right below.
