LG L70 Hands on

Just before the MWC 2014, LG had announced three smartphones in the LG L series – LG L40, LG L70 and LG L90. As you can see, the LG L70 is the mid-range offering among the three, in terms of features, size and pricing. At MWC 2014, LG showcased its recently announced devices and we managed to spend sometime with the LG L70 smartphone.

We managed to get a quick hands on video which you can check out right below.

Being a mid-range offering, the specifications are average –

  • 4.5-inch (800 x 400 pixels) capacitive touch screen display
  • 1.2 GHz dual-core processor Snapdragon 200 SoC
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 8MP or 5MP rear camera depending on the market
  • 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera
  • 1GB RAM,4GB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD
  • Dimensions: 127.2 x 66.8 x 9.5mm
  • 3G (HSPA+21Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS
  • 2,100mAh battery

In terms of design, it doesn’t turn everybody’s heads, but gets the job done. Despite being a budget friendly device, the build quality is quite nice and the matte finish material on the back makes sure it doesn’t get scratches or finger prints.

In the software front, it will come equipped with LG’s latest UI overlaid on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The software that LG supplies with its devices may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but it does come with some useful features like Q-Slide.
