HTC has reported their unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$ 7.2 billion (US$238 million)  for February 2014 , down by 36.45% YoY, compared to NT$ 11.3 billion in February 2013. Total unaudited consolidated revenue for January and  February 2014 is NT$ 16.9 billion. Last month the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer reported revenues of NT$ 42.9 billion for Q4 2013, a 28% drop YoY in terms of revenue.

The company announced last month it would launch more cheaper mid-range smartphone this year to improve their profit. It unveiled two new mid-range smartphones HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610, mid-range smartphones at the MWC 2014, last week, as promised. It would launch the All new HTC One, the company’s upcoming flagship on March 25th.

At last month’s quarterly earnings conference call, HTC Chief Financial Officer Chang Chia-lin said the revenue would be low during the period of January-March, and it would see sequential increases in revenue and profits in subsequent quarters, reports Focus Taiwan.

The HTC One was one of the popular phones of 2013, hope the new HTC One would also prove to be promising successor. Hope we can see more mid-range Smartphones in the Desire series in a competitive price range.
