NVIDIA isn’t having much of a success with the smartphones and it is evident from the meagre adaptation of its chipsets in smartphones. The NVIDIA Tegra 4i was announced towards the end of 2013 and there hasn’t been a single smartphone in the market with it. But it looks like finally someone has adapted and we will be seeing the first NVIDIA Tegra 4i based smartphones from a French manufacturer Wiko.
Wiko has announced that it will be launching the Tegra 4i based Wax 4G smartphone sometime in April. The specifications of the mid-range smartphone are as follows
- NVIDIA Tegra 4i Quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz
- 72 core GPU
- 4.7inch HD display
- 1GB RAM
- 4GB Internal storage
- microSD card slot
- 8MP rear camera
- 5MP front camera
- Android 4.3 Jellybean
The specifications of the device aren’t even half appealing of the Qualcomm counterparts, but NVIDIA Tegra 4i is for the mid-range market and the specifications look just ok. The device will be on sale for 200Euros(Rs. 17,000).
