Microsoft India has partnered with HP and Pearson to launch a new tablet for college going students. Aiming at students from engineering and management streams, the tablet is powered by Windows 8.1 and dubbed as HP Omni 10.

The tablet is priced at Rs. 29,999 and has 8 megapixel rear and a 2 MP front camera. HP Omni 10 specs will also provide a preloaded set of 10 e-books, access to various Microsoft developer tools and servers through the DreamSpark student site.
In addition it offers Pearson’s e-learning content, including theory papers of first semester engineering and MBA courses. Pearson self-learning course module will provide multimedia content for first semester engineering students and student guides/notes, flash cards, and video case studies for first semester MBA students.
Finally a single sign-on student mail IDs is also offered along with a 50 GB mailbox and 25 GB OneDrivePro free. The HP Omni10 will be available for all technical and management institutes and is being currently offered at an EMI plan of Rs 2,990 per month for 12 months (taxes additional). The Institute Offer is valid till June 15 said the company.
