Specifications of the HTC M8 mini leaked out back in February even before the HTC One M8 was unveiled. Now @evleaks has posted a press render of the M8 mini that is expected to be launched as HTC One mini 2. The leak reveals the phone’s colors, Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold, similar to the HTC One (M8). According to the leaked render, it is clear that the phone lacks a Duo camera arrangement like the One M8.
According to earlier rumors, the HTC One mini 2 would come with a 4.5-inch HD display, 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0. It is also expected to come with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. This would have on-screen buttons instead of capacitive touch buttons and also has the same HTC logo below the screen.
As seen in the leaked render, it has dual-front-facing BoomSound speakers, similar to other HTC One mini. According to a recent rumor HTC is also working on a low-cost variant of the HTC One M8, called HTC M8 Ace that would come with polycarbonate build and similar specifications as the HTC M8.
It is not clear when we can expect the HTC One mini 2, but some rumors reveals that we could see the phone this quarter.
